C1 Origin StoryThe story of C1 begins with its brand model, Caleb Simmons—a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and a man after God's own heart. Caleb was making a name for himself on the prestigious Fayetteville State University Men's Basketball Team, but his mission went beyond the game. Before his senior season with the Fayetteville State Broncos, Caleb wore jersey #44. But as he prepared for his final collegiate season, he sought a way to publicly dedicate his journey to Jesus—the very reason he had made it to Fayetteville State. A former transfer from Shaw University, Caleb had experienced deep struggles with worldly desires, depression, and loneliness. But Jesus met him there, rescued him, and brought him to a place of restoration and purpose. In recognition of the Lord's faithfulness, Caleb made a simple yet profound change: he switched his jersey number to #1. It was more than a number—it was a daily reminder of who he was playing for: Jesus Christ, the One and Only true and living God. This act of devotion sparked something greater. Caleb and his father were inspired to create a brand—C1, short for Christ, One and Only. The vision was clear: clothing that proclaims the gospel boldly and reminds others that we are made in God's image (Genesis 1:27) and that our lives are His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). Wearing C1 would be more than fashion—it would be a statement:“When you see me, I pray you see the One in me.”And the Lord honored Caleb's surrender. His senior season became one for the history books—stat sheets filled, awards earned, and his name etched into FSU legacy.C1 was born from a desire to honor Jesus Christ—and Caleb and his family remain committed to worshiping Him forevermore.
